By having an umbrella organization, a platform will be available to link each community member with all. Inspired by the vision of Shri Vallabhdas karsandas Natha a humble effort has been made by committed volunteers to establish GBF and then take up projects that are of National stature.

SHRI MANSINGH L. BHAKTA - Hon. Legal Advisor
Shri Mansingh Laxmidas Bhakta is Senior Partner of M/s. Kanga & Co., Advocates
& Solicitors. Mr. Bhakta has been in practice for over 45 years and has vast
experience in the legal field and particularly on matters relating to corporate laws,
banking and taxation. He has been Independent Director of Lodha Developers
Limited since August 1, 2009. He has been a Non-Independent Executive Director
of Ambuja Cements Ltd (formerly, Gujarat Ambuja Cements LTD) since September
1985 and joined it in 1985. Mr. Bhakta has been an Independent Director of
Reliance Industries Limited since September 27, 1997 and serves as its lead
Independent Director.
He serves as a Director of Micro Inks Ltd., JCB Construction Equipment Limited,
JCB Manufacturing Limited and JCB India Limited. He serves as a Trustee at
Indian Merchants' Chambers. Mr. Bhakta served as a Director of Reliance
Petroleum Ltd. He served as a Director of Bilcare Ltd. from December 31, 2005 to
July 31, 2007. He served as a Non Executive Director of Larsen & Toubro Ltd. He
was the Chairman of the Taxation Law Standing Committee of LAWASIA. He is
Recipient of Rotary Centennial Service Award for Professional Excellence from
Rotary International. He is listed as one of the Leading Lawyers of Asia for 2006
and 2007 by Asialaw, Hongkong. Mr. Bhakta is graduate in Arts and Law.
His personal collection of more than 500 idols of Lord Ganesh is very unique and
his home is a Museum of Ganapati. His faith and obsession with Shri Ganesh is
perhaps a secret of his long life, Good Health, Exemplary Career and very high
respect amongst the corporate world and legal fraternity.

SHRI VITHALDAS G. UDESHI - Trustee
Shri Vithaldas G. Udeshi started his career with Jayant Oil Mills, a partnership firm,
in 1952, and was inducted as partner of the firm in 1953. Thereafter the said firm
was converted into a Company in 1973 and he continued to be a Whole time
Director of the said Company, viz; Jayant Vegoils & Chemicals. He was also on
the Board of Directors of Jayant Oil Products Pvt. Ltd., Jayant Industrial and
Scientific Research, Jayant Sebacates Pvt. Ltd. During his tenure as Group
Chairman of the above Companies, the Jayant Oil Mills Prop. Jayant Vegoils &
Chemicals Ltd., secured Export House Status in 1974 and thereafter Trading
House Status in 1983. He was holding Directorship position in these Companies
upto 5th March, 2002.
Further, Mr. Vithaldas G. Udeshi was Vice-Chairman of Chemexcil and Director of
the International Castor Oil Association. Mr. Vithaldas G. Udeshi is a Technocrat
Entrepreneur with an excellent track record in industrial and marketing
Management.
He is widely traveled and is keeping himself abreast with the latest technical,
technological and regulatory developments in the castor oil world by virtue of a
position he occupied in the above companies.

SHRI ASHWIN CHAMPRAJ SHROFF - Trustee
Shri Shroff after Graduating in Chemistry from Bombay
University in 1965 joined Excel Industries. Moving
through various operational and functional departments
in Excel Industries Ltd, he rose to become its Chairman
and Managing Director.
He is past President of Indian Chemical Council (formerly,
Indian Chemical Manufacturers Association). He has
been a regular participant in various study groups,
conferences, seminars and has contributed papers on
diverse subjects.
Shri Shroff is committed to purposeful contributions in
Social Development. He is Trustee of Vivekanand
Research & Training Institute (VRTI), a voluntary
organization based in Kutchh, Gujarat, dedicated for Sustainable Agricultural &
Rural Development. He has been Executive Committee Member of Kutchh
Navnirman Abhiyan, a Federation of Voluntary Organizations in Kutchh, Gujarat
formed in 2001 post-earth quake for rehabilitation of people & redevelopment of
the earthquake affected region in Gujarat.

Shri Chetan Merchant is an MBA from University of Mumbai
and an ardent sportsman. He played Cricket and
represented his school in Harris Shield and Guiles Shield as
well as for Football. Being a family member of famous
Parmananddas Jivandas family (P.J.Hindu Gymkhana) he
has inherited Sports and sportsmanship.
Being brought up and groomed by late Shri Prakash
Merchant (elder cousin brother of Chetan), Chetan has
proved himself a worthy, noble and philanthropic Bhatia who
is managing huge wealth and assets of Merchant family and
Trusts located at Mumbai, Mahabaleshwar, Matheran, and
Jam Khambhalia.
Chetan has gained a valuable experience for Wealth
Management from Development Bank of Singapore where he was a country head for
the same portfolio.

SHRI NITIN DOSSA - Trustee
Shri Nitin Dossa is Executive Chairman of Western India
Automobile Association (WIAA), Founder Director of Motor
Sports Association of India (MAI), President of Vintage &
Classic Car Club of India (VCCCI) and Indian Automotive
Racing Club Ltd. (IARC). The VCCCI is affiliated to FIVA
(Federation Internationale Vehicules Anciens) which is the
International body for vintage cars. The VCCCI helps
members in restoration of their vehicles and in sourcing
spares and today the VCCCI has 158 members. He is also the
Chairman of WIAA-Castrol Institute of Motoring (WCIM), THE
FIRST Road Safety Institute established in Ahmedabad.
Mr. Dossa is the first Indian to be unanimously elected as the
Vice President of Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT),
the World body of Mobility based in Paris. Mr. Nitin Dossa serves as Treasurer and
Director of Insurance Brokers Association of India (IBAI) and his Business units are
Dossa Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Dossa Properties Pvt. Ltd., Dossa Insurance & Broking

SHRI SHIRISH M. ANJARIA - Trustee
Shri Shirish M. Anjaria, the Managing Director of Dynacons
Technologies Limited, is a business leader with successful
& fruitful career of over 4 decades. He has wide experience
across industries and has rich exposure in Business
Management, Corporate Affairs and Customer Relations.
He is a graduate in Science and holds a post graduate
degree in Law. He is a Certified Associate of the Federation
of Insurance Institutes.
He is the promoter and founder of Dynacons Systems &
Solutions Limited. He is currently the Chairman and
Managing Director of Dynacons Systems & Solutions
Limited and has spearheaded the growth of the company
from a start-up and is currently one of the leading IT
Infrastructure Solutions Providers in the country. Under his
Chairmanship, Dynacons has forged strategic alliances with global IT majors such as
IBM, Intel, HP, Microsoft, Lenovo, Sony, Cisco etc. He was also the founder of the
Millenium PC initiative which was recognised by Intel, USA.
Shri Nalinbhai has graduated in Science from Khalsa
College, Mumbai and is managing an ever thrieving business
of Film processing since 1971. India Cine Labs & Jyoti studio
is a flagship company of Sampat Family since 1940. His
company has processed over 500 films.
Nalinbhai belongs to the famous pioneer film makers family
viz. Shri Ramdas Sampat (grandfather), and Shri Dwarkadas
Sampat (father), contemporary of Late Dadasaheb Phalke.
He became famous for his covertly political film ‘Bhakt Vidur’.
Nalinbhai is a proud owner of machine that processed ‘Alam
Ara’.
Nalinbhai started Photo lab in 1985, colour processing lab in
1985, 1988 and won award from Lions Club International for
highlighting drug awareness in community. He is chairman of
Lions Club of Sion Education project from 1985. He is responsible for honouring
students and teachers and conducting Elocution on annual basis.
He is attached to Lions Club of Sion since 1978 & Member of Jain Jagruti.
He believes that Education is the bedrock through which our community can progress.
We also need to spread awareness in the younger generation about our roots to ensure
that the Bhatia legacy continues. Our community has helped build Bombay and thus
the nation. We must continue doing so.

SHRI NALIN DWARKADAS SAMPAT - Trustee
SHRI KAUSHAL SAMPAT - Trustee
Shri Kaushal is presently President & CEO of Dun &
Bradstreet India. Prior to this, he has held several
strategic and operational roles in D&B’s various business
units, having joined D&B India as a Business Analyst in
1998. In a career spanning over 15 years, he has played a
key role in developing new businesses for the company in
India. These have included Sales & Marketing Solutions,
Economic Analysis Group, Financial Education Solutions
& Hoovers.
In 2007, when he took over as the Chief Operating Officer,
Kaushal spearheaded the company's strategic initiatives
and alliances in India. In his previous roles, he has been
responsible for the operations of D&B’s Risk
Management Solutions business in the Middle East and Africa and for D&B’s ecommerce
initiatives in the ASEAN/South Asia markets.
?Before his tenure at Dun & Bradstreet, Kaushal worked in the manufacturing
sector for four years with a focus on international business.

Shri Ghansham Prabhudas Monani (Mohanlal Nagji Ni Co
Rajkot) was born in Sangli Maharashtra. Raised in
Bangalore till 8th Std. From 9th Std onwards he made
Mumbai his home, dwelling in Bhatia Boarding (Bhatia
Balrakshak Vidhyalay Borivli) during School Days and
Tejpal Dormitory whilst at the University.
During those wonderful years (Late 60s early 70s),
Ghansham had the good fortune to get hands-on training
under Highly efficient Managers From Thackerseys be it
Laxmi Sprinklers from Kalachowki or Bhor at Bhor or at
Baroda or at Prabhadevi Culminating at Vithaldas
Chambers.
Armed with such valuable Training Ghansham Left (1975)
to work for the then Highly Lucrative Construction Industry in the Middle East.
Volatility of the Industry and the region made Ghansham a truly Global Indian Bhatia
forever Grateful to his Community and the spirit of enterprise he learnt from his
mentors in the community.
He still works in construction industry and lives with his spouse for 36 years in
Abudhabi .
With the aid of a Daughter who has doctoral qualifications in Social work and a son
with Post Graduate Qualifications in Mass Communications involved in
Documentary/advertising films and Journalism, Ghansham will focus to the
Foundations' agenda on Community Pensioner's Dignity, geriatric needs and his /
her useful contribution to development of enterprise in community adolescents.
Shri Mukul G Asher, Professor of Public Policy at the National
University of Singapore, was educated in India and the
United States. His research focuses on public finance and
social security issues in Asia. He has published extensively
in national and international journals and has authored or
edited more than ten books. He serves on the Editorial Board
or on the Advisory Board of several journals including
International Social Security Review. He has been a
consultant to several Governments in Asia on tax policy and
pension reforms; and to multi-lateral institutions including the
Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and the World
Health Organization. His column on India's development
challenges appears every other Wednesday in DNA
newspaper, Money Section (www.dnaindia.com).

Shri Yashwant Hansraj Sampat, fondly known as Yashwant
Latwalla is chairman of Latwalla Investments Private Limited,
Mumbai. He was born at Kutch Mandvi and belongs to M/s.
Naranjee Hirjee Family a reputed business house at Muscat-
Oman. He studied at Bai Kabibai High School and Sydenham
College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai and gained
Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1967.
Yashwantbhai owes his success entirely to his parents who, for
him, were above gods. “The poor” is always in the mind of
Yashwantbhai. Keeping poor in their minds his family has done
various charities in Oman, Kutch and in Mumbai. Some of them
include:
?Converted a pond of dirty water full of mosquitoes and other garbage detrimental to the
health and well being of the general public into a beautiful club in Oman.
?Free distribution of Chhash to one and all from his own Gaushala in Oman
?A substantial donation to Sheth Khimji Ramdas girls high school in kutch-mandvi
?A substantial donation for the new building of Sheth G. T. High School in Mandvi-Kutch
?A temple of Gayatri Devi in Don village, about 20 kilometres from mandvi, next to
Jyoteshwar Mahadeo temple
?Donation of sewing machines to needy women in Mandvi
?Donated a 4500 sq. Ft. Hall to Bhatia Mahajan in Mandvi-Kutch. This hall is now open to
all communities who are strictly vegetarian
?Provided water supply for Hindu Crematorium in Mandvi-Kutch
?Sponsored some beds at T. B. Clinic at Maska village near Mandvi
?In addition to the above charities, they made several hidden donations without any
fanfare
He is a member of Rotary Club of Bombay central since 1979 which is engaged in various
community services in and out of Mumbai. He has served as chairman of Rotary Foundation
and Director of Rotary International Service. He is the founder member of “Golden Hearts
Fellow” in his Rotary Club and his wife has also become a “Golden Hearts Fellow”. Other
Rotary Clubs have also got a hint of this novel idea and have followed the same. In
association with his Rotary Club, he has donated a Bal Udyan, Lakhmiben Hansraj Latwalla
Bal Udyan, in memory of his mother at Mandvi-Kutch near Rotary Service Centre and
Swaminarayan Temple. In addition to this, he and his wife Anandi have made several
donations under “Golden Hearts Fellow” scheme. His son Mehul is also an active member of
Rotary Club Of Bombay.
Save The Children India (STCI): In loving memory of his parents, he and his family have
contributed to the state of the art, 5-storey building of “Save The Children India”, (STCI) at
Bandra-Kurla Complex, next to Dhirubhai Ambani School and American School Of Bombay.
They are the major donors of this 5-storey School Building. In appreciation of this
contribution, STCI has very kindly put up plaques of his parents at the entrance of the
School. Further, the building has been appropriately named as “Lakhmiben Hansraj
Latwalla Special Care Centre” in fond memory of his mother. His family includes Wife
Anandi, Daughter Deepti, Son-in law Bibhash, Grand Son Hrishit, Son Mehul, Daughter-inlaw
Miloni and two lovely Grand Daughters Dhrishni and Vritika.
SHRI PANKAJ GORDHANDAS KAPADIA - Trustee
Shri Pankajbhai, born in 1947, completed his education in
south Mumbai and got Diploma in MMTC (Man Made Textile
Chemistry) from SASMIRA (THE SYNTHETIC & ART SILK
MILLS' RESEARCH ASSOCIATION) College in Mumbai.
After completion of his studies he started business in textile
under the name of Dhanji Mulji & Co. He moved to chemical
business after a decade. He has also dealt in Imported Car
buying and selling. Since last more than 35 years. He is
investor in Financial Markets, especially Stocks and Real
Estate.
Shri Pankajbhai is Trustee of Dhanji Mulji Dharamshala at
Jagannath Puri. He was Managing Trustee for the period
1998 to 2000 at Shri Halai Bhatia Mahajan.
SHRI HARIDAS RAIGAGA - Hon. Secretary
Shri Haridas is a seasoned IT consultant having rich
experience of 30 years in IT, Consulting and Banking industry.
He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and has
served as a National Chairman of ISACA Grab Task Force in
India and Chapter president of Mumbai chapter. He is also
ISO27001 Lead Assessor, Six sigma Black belt, Certified
Independent Director and post graduate in Computer
Management as well as Financial Management. He has been
Managing Consultant with Ernst & Young, an industry
specialist with Tata Unisys and CEO of Singlepoint
Associates, which merged with ICICI InfoTech. He was head
of Consulting practice of 3i Infotech. He is trained for
Advanced Network security by SANS, USA. He is specialized in Implementing ISO
27001, Strategic consulting and Business Continuity.
He has about 50 large completed assignments to his credit. His articles are
published in various magazines and newspapers. He is an invited speaker at various
forums and institutions that includes Asiacacs 2004-Dubai, ISACA International
Conference 2005, Oslo-Norway, Defence HQ-India, Ministry of Home Affairs- Govt
of India, Central Bank of Srilanka and various chambers of Commerce. He has
guided Defence HQ for web security and IBA for Electronic storage of Records. He
has served on RBI Committee.
He had conceptualised and organised a Centenary Mahotsav for Shri Bhatia
Balrakshak Vidyalaya and served as Hon. Secretary for 3 years. He could see
several avenues to serve the community and since than he is dedicated to Global
Bhatia Foundation.
SHRI PRADYUMNA VED - Hon. Secretary
Shri Pradyumna Ved has devoted his life to others. By
donating his blood for 113 times, he has served the mankind
in a noble way. He has motivated others too for blood
donation and saved several lives. He has served National
Association of blind for several years. He is main force in
building up a team of disciplined and selfless volunteers of
Global Bhatia Foundation.
He has studied in Poddar College, Mumbai and served
Thackersey group for 15 years under Shri Vijay Merchant.
He has a rich experience of Insurance sector where he
served for 22 years as a Director of Mankad and Associates.
Retired now, Pradyumna is fully devoted to the successful
implementation of Projects of Global Bhatia Foundation.
SHRI MANISH PRAVINCHANDRA DUTIA - Hon. Secretary
Shri Manish Pravinchandra Dutia is a seasoned Certified
Financial Planner. He has experience of 20 years in
Financial Markets and is advising currently around 900
families for making their financial future brighter. He is
amongst first 100 CFPs in India to get their Certification for
Financial Planning. He works with the mission of “To assist
families in identifying their stewardship responsibility to true
wealth by creating systems, strategies and structure for
family and financial empowerment with ongoing
accountability to enrich quality of life without giving up
choice and control”. He advises individuals, families,
businesses and institutions in optimization, protection and
empowerment of their human, intellectual and financial
assets, providing greater clarity, balance, focus and confidence to his clients. He
has been the Member of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), a Premier Association
of Financial Professionals.
He is ever ready to work for the community and in the past, he has volunteered for
several projects. He shares the vision of Global Bhatia Foundation “To bring back
the past glory of Bhatia Community that other Communities are tempted to follow
and retain its heritage”. His Planning abilities will help the community.
SHRI SURESH BHATIA - Hon. Secretary
Shri Suresh Bhatia has been educated at University of Mumbai
and owns Sanjeevani Chemist business at Colaba. Since
1989, he is devoted to social work. Sanjeevani Trust has
groomed him for the humanitarian tasks and he also serves as
a Trustee for Madan Mohanji Haveli, Fort.
SHRI RANJIT SAMPAT - Hon. Secretary
Shri Ranjit Sampat after graduating in Commerce from
University of Mumbai served Kotak & Co for 17 years and
Reliance Industries for 24 years as a Plant Manager and
achieved several milestones.
He has a rich experience of serving community since 1989.
Since inception he is honararily serving Shri Dombivali Bhatia
Mitra Mandal as a Vice President. He is also honararily serving
Samasta Bhatia Vaishnav Samaj Bhagvat Saptah, Samasta
Bhatia Federation and Dombivali Vaishnav Nagar Samaj.

Shri Uday Laijawala is a senior Banker with 38 years of
experience with Bank of Baroda. He is postgraduate in
Commerce and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of
Bankers. He has devoted himself for the community work after
retirement. He is supported by his devoted wife Mrs. Jyoti
Laijawala who is a journalist by profession and a sub-editor in
Mantralaya, Govt. of Maharashtra.
